
Paul Stewart Matney, 67, of Phoenix, passed away on December 25, 2015. Paul was born on June 26, 1948 to Ervin and Effie Matney in Buchanan County, Virginia. He served his country in the U.S. Army, Army Airborne and worked in commercial construction building hospitals and retired as a Superintendent in May 2013. Paul recently moved to Arizona just this past October with the love of his life, Ginger. He was a great Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather. He is survived by his wife Ginger, daughters Paula Jean Matney, Michelle Martin and Tony Matney Dye, brothers Jack Matney, Louis Matney and Kenneth Matney, sisters Jeri Roberts and Wanda Ball, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service, with military honors, will be held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Paul’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org.
