Matthew S. Garcia, 47, devoted partner of James B. Shaffer Smokey, loving son of Herman and Caroline Garcia, and beloved brother of Laura Garcia, Loretta Montoya, Rosemarie Neal, Jackie Lotto and Bernadette Sanchez passed into the Loving Arms of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 16, 2009. Matthew was a long time resident of Phoenix and the owner of Matthew Stephen Design In Hair Salon. He will be greatly missed by Special friends Jack and Debbie Strandlund and Alex Robles as well as many others. Special thanks from his family to Hospice of the Valley and Dr. Evan Duffy. Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Chapel Central, 2831 West Glendale Avenue on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, 85014.
