In Memorial

Died January 7, 2012 in Scottsdale. Born December 26, 1919 in Dayton, Ohio to Grace E. and Edward J. Regan. She was the eldest of three children. Virginia married John J. McMahon in April 1948. Preceded in death by her husband Jack, son Jim, brother Bill and son-in-law Pete Chapas. Survived by her children Molly Chapas, Elaine McMahon, John McMahon (Mary), Grace Anderson, her beloved grandchildren Emily Anderson, Connor Anderson and Michael McMahon, brother Ed, his wife Dot, sister-in-law Mary Regan and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia lived many years in both Atlanta and Phoenix and was active in school, church and philanthropic endeavors. She was a member of St. Theresa Church and Sodality, past President of Christ Child Society and long time member of Assistance League of Phoenix. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00am, Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. 85018. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and in particular Virginia’s caregivers, Sister Helen Buzan, Wesley, Maurice, Luz, Drs. Opila and Thompson and her nurses, Cherie, Angela, Arlene, Debbie and Jennifer. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
