MELVIN, JOHN “Bill” WILLIAM

77, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on June 20, 2011. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and came to teach the subject at ASU. He worked at Air Research for many years as an Engineer as well. He then decided to go to Law School at ASU and became a Judge at the East Phoenix Justice COurt. For the last 20 years he was a Public Defender for Juveniles. He bravely fought Cancer before dying. He leaves 2 sisters, Mary Kay Cullen of Edwardsville, IL and Jean Berg Simhauser of Springfield, IL, many friends and colleagues. A Memorial Service will be held at the Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. 480-991-6424 at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 25th, 2011.
