MENDOZA, ESTELLA

February 19, 2013 2 Condolences

MENDOZA,

81, passed away on February 16, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ.  Estella was born January 13, 1932 in Phoenix, AZ to Ramon and Josephine Cordova.  Estella came from a large family and as a working mother raised a large family of her own. Estella was the matriarch of the family, a loving devoted wife, mother,  grandmother, great grandmother and friend.   She was preceded in death by her parents and all 6 siblings.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Alexander G. Mendoza, her children Beverly Estrada (Adam), Laurie Coleman (Ronald),  Robert Mendoza, Barbara Hobel (Michael), Norma Mendoza (Vince), Andrea Pagan (Miguel) of Topeka KS, 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. Her in-laws Virginia Villaverde, Ralph Mendoza, John Quinn, Sally Cordova and Pearl Cordova along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of the Valley Coronado Home, 340 E. Coronado Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85004.Visitation will be held from 6-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm on February 22, 2013 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix.  Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Saturday, February 23 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 3140 N. 51st Ave., Phoenix.  Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ
