Mary Louise Miller

79, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2011. A Phoenix resident since 1968, Mary Lou was born in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Anna Rigelsky. She moved to Scottsdale in 2004 to be closer to her children. A loyal Walgreen employee until her retirement in 2002, she regularly took advantage of sales to purchase items for families in need. She was a loving, giving person always willing to help others. Her strength was evident as she helped her husband, John, through 14 years of illness before his death in 1989. She will be remembered for her laughter and her unwavering willingness to let her grandchildren decorate for every holiday. Mary Lou is survived by her son, Tom; daughter, Mary Ann; daughter-in-law, Sandy; special nephew/son Frank Rigelsky Jr.; grandchildren Amy, Dan (Jessica), Katie and Tommy; sister Helen, and numerous nieces and nephews whose birthdays she never forgot. We will miss her. Visitation will be on Friday, June 17, from 5:00 until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:30 pm, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am, Saturday, June 18, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7655 E. Main St., Scottsdale. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
