MONTENEGRO, SUGAR CANDICE
Sugar Candice Montenegro, 25, entered eternal life on June 28, 2015. She was born on January 10, 1990 in Phoenix to Gracie Vasquez and Steve Montenegro. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She was a cheerleader in high school and enjoyed cheering on her Arizona sports teams. She was a dedicated mother, fiancé, daughter, sister, tia/nina, and friend. Sugar will be remembered for her inner and outer beauty, generous heart, selfless spirit, great laugh, and sense of humor. Sugar is survived by her parents Gracie and Steve, stepfather Ralph, fiancé Jesse Newell and the Newell family, beloved daughter Madison Grace and son Jesse David, sisters Anita, Stephanie, Alissia, and Sierra and brothers Steve and Serjoe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow immediately at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix.

Gracie & family, Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Losing one’s own is like losing a piece of your heart and soul. My heart is truly heavy for Gracie and the kids I have known the montenegro family for many years and I pray God wraps you all in his arms and gives you strength for this trying time I pray that Jesus give you faith it’s seams so unfair why someone we love or so young but trust that God has a bigger plan for her. I offer my condolences in the loss of your loved one. To Mom and Dad Gracie Vasquez and Steve Montenegro I share the type of loss with you. I myself lost my daughter in 1991. The feelings you are going through at this time from your sudden loss brings so many feelings that can leave you numb. I truly am sorry to hear of your loss. I having gone through this type of sudden loss and now assist others through the grieving process. Words cannot describe what you must be going through. To loose a child must be unbearable. My deepest condolences for your loss. As people who fear God you must believe He cares for each one of us.
