, was called home to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ and her loving husband, Frank on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the age of 85. Maria was born in Tempe, Arizona and lived in Phoenix. Maria was a housekeeper for many years prior to marrying her husband, Frank. She then became a full-time devoted wife and loving mother. She loved attending church and was a devout Catholic. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank and is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Chavez, son-in-law, Lorenzo Chavez and granddaughters, Jessica and Kayla. Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 31, at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington, Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.
