MULLER, ROBERT

February 8, 2013 2 Condolences

In Memorial

82, of Phoenix passed away on February 5, 2013.  Bob retired from the Illinois State Department of Corrections in 1991 and moved to Phoenix in 1994 where he met the love of his life, Willie Dodt.  He considered his stepchildren his own and introduced them as such.  Bob loved God, Willie, family, and country – and don’t forget those Yankees!  He was a Third Order Carmelite and worked closely with the Carmelite priests at St. Agnes Church.  He is survived by Willie, 9 step-children, 21 step-grandchildren, 16 step great-grandchildren, and 1 step, great, great-grandchild; his sister Bernadette Sephton, and nephew Robert Sephton.  Services will be Tuesday, February 12, 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church.  Visitation is one hour before the service.  Arrangements are by Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Agnes St. Vincent de Paul Society, one of many organizations where Bob volunteered.

I would like to convey my condolences to Willie and all Bob’s family. I am a volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul at St. Thomas the Apostle Conference and talked often with Bob as he would call to enlist help for families that he served. I was always so struck by the deep love that Bob had for the poor he visited. He truly saw all as brothers and sisters and was so compassionate. I will always remember Bob as someone who ALWAYS went the extra mile and was a true example of unconditional love and deep love of our Lord. We will all miss him so much. I will be out of town on Tuesday so I am so sorry to miss Bob’s services. My thoughts and prayers will be with you that day and in the weeks and months to come. Julie Douglas

I am so sorry for your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers, as well as your memories give you comfort to help you endure the days ahead. The Bible also offers comfort. “For God is near to those broken at heart. “ Ps 34:17,18. Our Creator promises that there will soon be a time when “death will be no more.” Revelation 21:4.
