Condolence from Judy Krause on November 15th, 2013 9:25 am

It has been my pleasure for more than 20 years to be closely associated with Joanne thru her sister Sally. Once a month for all these years as I was at the house to help Sally with her finances I had the pleasure of writing Sally and Joannes dictated letters to their friends, putting together scrape books for their children. Several years I had the pleasure of taking their pictures and making their Christmas cards. Joanne always a joy to visit with. I feel very blessed to have been just a small part of her life.

Condolence from Lois Pearson on December 21st, 2013 10:02 pm

I am so glad you shared this sad news with us in Minneapolis, MN. I am a distant relative of yours–originally from Canby, MN where your grandmother, Norma Nelson was born, and where your g.grandmother, Lena lived. Lena and my grandfather, Charley Pearson were brother and sister, and immigrated from Sweden together. I believe I met your mother and Sally once when Norma and the girls came to visit Lena. I think they were all invited to our house for dinner. I was in such awe of Joanne and Sally, as I was younger than they, and they had such lovely clothes and city manners about them. They were also considered quite famous because of their professional ice skating careers. I wish I could have known your mother. She sounds like she was a very special and loving person. You have my deepest sympathy, and that of the other Pearson relatives in MN.
