What do you say at a time like this. I can’t even think of the right words. I have very fond memories of Joe from all the times we would come over to visit or play cards together. How he would accuse me of looking at Mark before playing my cards, and then make me cover my eyes with a hat. How we all laughed and had such a great time together. Today I see Joe smiling and laughing.
Jody, I love you so much. You have always been such a huge part of my life. I know that words can not take away the pain and sorrow. Please know that you are not alone. You are continually in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences and regards to the family. Joe’s life resonates with me. While I never met him, in my mind he represents an impeccable generation; one with a stalwart pioneering spirit; a breed of American that is slowly passing from our landscape. I know that he was a fighter, for Adrian spoke often of his Dad’s grit and determination. He has cast a tall and long shadow. I pray for your family’s solace and comfort during this time and know that as a grandfather, a father, an uncle and a friend he has left an indelible mark that will be a treasure to you for decades. God’s richest comfort and blessings. Respectfully given.

    Adrian, Phil, and Mrs. Nagel,

My wife and I wish to offer you our most sincere condolences for Joe. We realize how difficult this time can be, but the sun will shine again in your lives.

I know you are very proud of the way he accepted his fate, and the manner in which he refused to surrender. He has been and always will be an epic figure in life.

We take great joy in the example of his couragious struggle. And like you we also are comforted knowing he has gone to a place where there is no more pain, crying, or darkness. May he eternal peace. And may your family’s grief be both constructive and short.

    Sincerely,

    Michael and Joanne

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil. Out there, there is someone who needs Joe more than us.
God saw Joe getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched him, and saw him pass away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

    Dear Krempp-Nagel Family,
We offer you our deepest condolences. Joe has been through a lot this past four years. He was blessed to share his life with all of us. Even though I regrettably didn’t get to see him or know him as much as I would have liked to, I felt that he was a good guy. I know that Joe and Bette had to meet a lot of challenges in parts of their lives. The ability to meet those challenges and go on with life is huge. Our faith in God helps, too. Joe is at Peace now. Please forgive us for not getting to the wake and funeral. We love you all. Aunt Blanche thought that Joe looked a lot like his Dad, my Uncle Hank.
Love, from your Krempp-Diveley cousins, Sherry & Frank Avila
