I’m so very sorry to see this. I know how important your family was to you, Terry. I have great memories of seeing both your dad and your mom with the girls when they were little. They are so fortunate to have had their grandparents around as long as they did. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Hugs,
Dean, Susan, Amy and Anders Culver

I am a friend of Jane Nesdill and I am sorry for your loss. Jane posted many wonderful photos of her family and esp of her mother and father’s 60th wedding anniversary celebration. He seems like a wondeful person. I know he produced a terrific daughter.

Arizona Nesdills I’m so sorry. Let the strength of your family help you through your grief.
Uncle Ed was not only my uncle, but also my godfather. I met him for the first time when he and Aunt Reggie came out to California to visit my family with Jake – their big black dog (Maybe he wasn’t so big. I was about 7 years old). We were cat people and Manny was our cat then. I can still remember Uncle Ed running around the backyard attempting to keep Jake from going after Manny. It was a lost cause.
I shared Christmas 2013 with the Arizona Nesdills and got to walk the dog with Uncle Ed around the neighborhood meeting the neighbor dogs (and a few people). Uncle Ed loved dogs. He loved people and loved to make them laugh. On my birthday this past July he called and told me about the NY Nesdill family reunion and the great time he had seeing and catching up with everyone. He told me he only wished everyone was wearing nametags so he did not have to stop and figure out who he was talking to.
I’m going to miss you, Uncle Ed. I’ll be saying the rosary Thursday at 2:00 (1:00pm MDT) with all the Arizona Nesdills and friends in your honor.
Love, Daureen

During a visit to Phoenix in 1999 the state quarters were just being circulated. Ed and I said great as we both had an interest in collecting them. But being “on opposite sides” of the Mississippi, Ed’s coins were Denver Mint and mine from Philadelphia.
So we began the great coin exchange. As the coins were issued we passed the different and minted coins to each other.
First sent with Regards ,Ed or Regards, Karl. Then little by
little as we received the “coin” letter from each other we began to exchange comments about family ,weather and volunteer activities. For me a wonderful friendship was formed through a common “denominator. Thank you Ed and Rest in Peace
Your friend, Karl Veith

I am so sorry to hear the sad news. Ed was a mentor and Democratic Precinct Committeeman who would go knocking on doors with me in order to engage voters and encourage them to vote. I remember that it was once over 100 degrees outside, and the day before, someone had heatstroke, but despite being in his 80’s, he waved off the concern and later helped me convince a 91 year old vet to vote for Mayor Greg Stanton. He had been in the military too, and the two guys shared some great stories and military history. Thank you for teaching me excuses mean little, and we all just need to get out there. Missing you.
