Adelaide Joanna Sergott Kushibab

Adelaide Joanna Sergott Kushibab, 100 years old, passed away on June 12, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born to Joseph Sergott and Joanna Klaban on February 27, 1925 in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, Luzerne County. She settled in Arizona on July 25, 1949. Adelaide was a graduate of Newport Township High School and Kings County School of Nursing in Brooklyn, New York. Adelaide and Joseph Peter Kushibab were married for 41 years. She served a career as a registered nurse and as an instructor at Phoenix Vocational High School. She enjoyed her time with the Kings County Alumni Association and the Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Sodality.

Adelaide is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Kushibab (1988) and son Peter Kushibab (2023). She is survived by Linda Kushibab Kirby, Stephen Kirby, Jeff Kirby, Joseph Michael Kushibab, Thomas Kushibab.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 20th with a rosary at 6:30 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85018. Burial is private.
