Albert Tapia Rodriguez was called home to his Savior, our Lord, on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Esther; his son, Albert Jr.; his brothers, Gus Jr., Robert, and David; and his sisters, Sadie and Celia. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores; his children, Martin (Luis), Philip (Lorna), Vincent (Maria), Teresa (Rob), and Ernest; his brother, Lee; seven grandchildren, Shasta, Justin, Stephanie, Dean, Erika, Savannah, and Carly; six great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Henry, Oliver, Theodore, Dominic, and Archer; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Albert proudly served as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his service, he joined the family business, Gus Rodriguez and Sons, working alongside his father and brothers. He later enjoyed a long career at Courtesy Chevrolet until his retirement. Beyond his love for his family, cars, sports, and history, Albert was passionate about carving and painting. He created many beautifully intricate Kachina dolls that he shared with family and friends—which will remain cherished reminders of his artistry and legacy. He will forever be honored in our hearts.
On Tuesday, September 23, 2025 a Rosary will be held at 10:30a.m. with Mass celebrated at 11:00a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 East Campbell Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85016. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
