Amy Jane Kubicek

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amy Jane Kubicek, who died on July 14, 2026, at her residence in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 48.

Amy was born on June 29, 1978, in Spring Valley, Illinois. She spent her early years in Marquette Heights, Illinois, until 1984, when her family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix became her lifelong home, where she built lasting friendships and a career dedicated to helping others.

Amy attended Trevor G. Browne High School in Phoenix and went on to work throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area in the fields of Human Resources and Administrative Support. She was known for her professionalism and caring spirit. During her career, she worked for several organizations, including Goodwill, PetSmart Charities, and DBSI, where she earned the respect and appreciation of coworkers and friends.

Amy will be remembered for her kind heart, generous nature, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Later in life, with the support of many caring people, she found the Lord and bravely battled addiction. Her faith transformed her life, and she became a living testament to the power of redemption, grace, and perseverance. Through her witness, encouragement, and support, she helped others on their own journeys of recovery and renewal. Those who knew Amy admired her courage, strength, and willingness to share her experiences in the hope of helping others.

Amy is survived by her parents, Terri Mahl and Dennis Kubicek; her son, Vincent Thomas, Jr; her brother, Kelly Kubicek, her stepfather, Mark Mahl; her stepmother, Teresa Kubicek; and numerous step sisters, step brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Alpharetta Peterson and Donald and Marvel Kubicek; her aunt, Kathy Kubicek; her uncle, Kevin Peterson; and her cousin, Lindsay Peterson.

Although her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, Amy's faith, kindness, strength, and love for her family will never be forgotten. Her memory will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona. A Memorial Service will be held there on Sunday, July 26, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Amy's memory be made to Phoenix Rescue Mission, Changing Lives Center, 338 North 15th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85007.
