If you knew Andy Holloran, you heard it a thousand times… “Alright, team. What's the plan?"
Andy’s team was huge and always expanding - his family, his friends, the people he worked beside – everyone was on his team - and Andy was always, unmistakably, the captain.
Andy was born on May 1, 1964, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Nancy and Duane Holloran. After graduating from Central High School in 1982, he headed to the University of Arizona, where he became a proud Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) and cultivated lifelong friendships through his group of fraternity brothers.
After earning his degree in 1986, Andy headed west to Manhattan Beach, California, where he began his career and laid the groundwork for his future. In 1992, he and Laura Grace began their relationship, and a year later they both returned home to Phoenix, where their life together would begin.
Andy and Laura married in 1994, and by the year 2000 their team had grown by three boys: Matthew, William, and Tommy. To his sons, Andy was a mentor, a hero, and the strongest person in their lives.
Professionally, Andy found his passion in real estate development. He took on ambitious projects and became someone people throughout the Valley knew and trusted. In 2005, the family moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where Andy developed a golf course community from the ground up, a place for families to gather and create lasting memories. How fitting, because no one brought people together like Andy.
He and his family later made their way to Bozeman, Montana. There, in 2012, Andy, fortified by the knowledge and experience he had gained throughout his career, founded HomeBase, a homebuilding venture. It began as something small and personal, a way for Andy and Laura to work together, side by side. But what began with just the two of them quickly grew into a trusted team of colleagues collaborating to create beautiful passion projects.
Andy made everyone feel like family. He was charismatic and inclusive, quick with a laugh, and impossible not to like. Fun followed Andy wherever he went. He loved his Chardonnay, his lifelong friends, and any reason to get everyone in the same room.
And beneath all that fun was a man of remarkable depth - brilliant, thoughtful, and wise, with a gift for bringing out the best in everyone in his life. He gave his family a sense of safety and the confidence to chase their dreams. He was tough as nails, unapologetically himself, and he loved his people with everything he had.
He was, simply, one of one.
Andy believed life was meant to be lived alongside the people you love.
So gather often.
Laugh loudly.
Take the trip.
Tell people you love them.
Raise a Chardonnay.
Cheer for one another.
And when life asks what's next, hear Andy's voice one more time:
"Alright, team... what's the plan?"
Andy is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Laura Grace Holloran; their sons, Matthew ("Matty"), William, and Tommy Holloran; mother, Nancy Holloran; brother, Patrick (Keri) Holloran; mother- and father-in-law, Ruthann and Phil Grace; sisters-in-law, Kim Grace Sabow and Allison Grace Weight (Doug); and cherished team of nieces and nephews: Sara Sabow, Ryan Weight, Abby Holloran, Anna Sabow, Danny Weight, Nate Holloran, Addison Weight, and Elena Sabow.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Duane Peter Holloran.
