Angela Marie Mejia

Angela "Angel" Marie Mejia was born on the 8th of November, 1966 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was called home peacefully on the 20th of January, 2026 at Banner University Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

A devoted homemaker for more than three decades, her passing has revealed that the true home was in the warmth and light that she carried within her heart and radiated to the loved ones lucky enough to call her family. She was fierce, and a force of nature, and the absolute beating heart of the Mejia family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Oscar Mejia; her brother, Reggieray Mejia; her sister-in-law, Delora Altamirano Mejia; and her grandmother, Elvira Murillo Lopez, as well as several other family members and loved ones lost over her lifetime. Though the page is silent, remembrance of those dearly departed is not.

She will forever be loved and missed by her mother, Angie; her brothers and sister-in-law, Anthony, Richard, Michael and Christina; her children, Marcus, Denise, Celia, Matthew, and Madisen; her cherished grandchildren, Camila "Babylove" and Nicolas "Sugarbear"; and nieces and nephews, Ashley, Izabel, William and Nathaniel.

“I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when life is done.”

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85018. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Phoenix.
