Anita Alice Cruz

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anita Alice Cruz, who departed peacefully in her home on July 8, 2025, at the age of 54. She was surrounded by her loving daughter and sister. Heaven has truly gained the most beautiful angel. Born on November 17, 1970, to Vivian and Victor Cruz. Anita is survived by her devoted daughter, Amber Cruz; her beloved grandson, Peyton Cruz; her sisters, Honey Abril and Crystal Abril; and her brother, Bobby Cruz. 

Anita lived a life full of joy and adventure. She dedicated over 15 years to her work at the post office before retiring to embrace a serene life filled with love, gratitude, and satisfaction. Anita will be remembered for her infectious laughter, radiant beauty, and remarkable strength. She had a unique ability to light up any room she entered and was known by all as the life of the party. Her immense strength carried her through a courageous and long battle with breast cancer. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anita's life at a visitation on Friday, July 25 from 8AM to 9AM  with a Celebration of Life service at 9AM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85018. Interment to follow at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery, 4904 E. Oak St., Phoenix, AZ 85008.
