Arturo Ochoa Rodriguez, a loving father, devoted husband, and cherished friend, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 61.

He was born on March 23, 1964, in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, to Francisco Ochoa and Aurora Ochoa, who preceded him in death. In 1998, he made Arizona his home, where he built a life defined by creativity, intellect, and artistry.

Arturo was a proud graduate of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, earning his degree in Architecture. Throughout his career, Arturo worked as an architect on a variety of projects, contributing his remarkable talent and creativity to numerous commercial and residential designs. He was deeply respected for his vision, skill, and passion for his craft.

Arturo was a man of many gifts. He loved reading, especially about science and history, and was known by family and friends as a “walking encyclopedia,” always ready with a fascinating fact or insightful thought. He had a playful spirit, proudly keeping a collection of R2-D2 figures — not just for the character, but because he delighted in the similarity to his own name.

Beyond his professional achievements, Arturo was a true artist at heart — a musician, painter, and creative soul who saw beauty and inspiration everywhere.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Dora Ochoa, and his children: Alejandra, Angel, Dorismar, and Jade, who will forever carry his love, wisdom, and artistic spirit in their hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Viewing will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by the service at 6:00 PM, with the final hour of viewing thereafter an open casket viewing will be held.
