It is with deep sorrow that we share the loss of a beautiful soul here on earth, yet we are comforted knowing that Heaven has gained a precious Angel. Betty lived a full and remarkable life of 94 years.
A beloved mother of four, a grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, she was preceded in death by Richard, her beloved husband of 64 years, her daughter Cindy and her grandson Jonathan. We rejoice knowing she is now celebrating a most joyous reunion with them!
Betty was very family-oriented; her loved ones and many friends were of utmost importance to her. Known for her captivating smile, her vivacious personality and genuine kindness, she had a spirit that was truly charismatic.
A native of North Dakota, Betty and her husband made Rock Springs, Wyoming their home, where they raised their family. Upon retirement they became winter Snowbirds in Arizona and eventually made a permanent move to Phoenix in 2013, to be close to their daughter and her family.
Together Betty and her husband traveled the world and cherished the opportunity to visit many countries. As a successful realtor in Rock Springs, she served 2nd and 3rd generation clients, always going the extra mile. Many of them became lifelong friends. To know Betty was to love her.
Betty was an active member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, (PEO International), which provides scholarships and grants to support the education of young women.
Though small in stature, she was mighty in spirit – a strong Nordic woman. She was an avid exerciser, a fashionista and loved to bake for family and friends. Someone once told Betty on her 90th birthday that she was GETTING UP THERE and with her keen sense of humor, she replied, “YES, AND I’M GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!” Indeed, Betty went to the TOP!
A world of thanks goes to Bella Vita Assisted Living for the loving care she received there, and for the devoted care provided by Hospice of the Valley.
A Memorial Service will take place in the spring of next year in Rock Springs, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband.
Betty, your absence leaves an ache in our hearts, but your energetic spirit remains ever-present in our memories. You are so deeply loved! May God Bless you and may your spirit soar!
