Byron Taft Arnold, founder of Mrs. Klein’s Kosher Pickle Company and beloved patriarch of the Arnold family, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026.
Byron was a visionary entrepreneur whose dedication, integrity, and tireless work ethic helped build Mrs. Klein’s Kosher Pickle Company into a trusted name across the Southwest for more than 75 years. What began as his vision and hard work grew into a five-generation family business, a legacy he was immensely proud to establish and pass down through the Arnold family. His commitment to quality, tradition, and customer trust defined the company and set a standard that continues today.
Fiercely loyal to his family and his customers, Byron believed deeply in showing up, working hard, and treating people with respect. He valued other hard workers and took pride in building relationships—with employees, partners, and customers alike. His leadership was grounded in fairness, consistency, and a genuine belief in people.
Known for his great sense of humor, Byron brought laughter and warmth to every room. He had a way of lightening difficult moments and connecting with people through wit and kindness. To many, he was a mentor and role model—someone who led not by words alone, but by example, character, and quiet strength.
As the patriarch of the Arnold family, Byron was a guiding force whose influence will be felt for generations. He instilled in his family the values of perseverance, loyalty, generosity, and responsibility, and he took great pride in watching those values carried forward.
Byron is survived by his loving family, who will forever cherish his memory and the foundation he built for them. His legacy lives on through his family, his business, and the countless people whose lives he touched through both.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 7th, 2026. For details, please contact the family or Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
