Irene Camacho, a most unique woman, born September 6

, 1924, died April 14, 2015. Many who met her would call her “special.” Her children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her “mom” or “Nina.” In 1942, Irene married the love of her life, Frank. Through good times and bad times, they stayed together for 65 years until Frank’s passing in 2007. Irene lived a wonderful example of strength, perseverance, compassion and love. Irene leaves behind two children, daughter Sylvia Gurule (Larry), son Frank (Margie), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends will commemorate Irene’s life Tuesday, April 21

, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue. Visitation begins at 8:30 A.M. followed by Rosary at 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48
