Catalina "Katy" Ramirez

Catalina “Katy” Ramirez was born on May 4, 1934 and passed away on June 5, 2026 at the age of 92. Katy is survived by her loving husband of 69 years; Carlos Ramirez; her son Carlos Ramirez Jr (Luisa); her grandson Carson Ramirez (Stephanie); her granddaughter Alanna Ramirez; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Katy was born in Bisbee, lived in Tiger Arizona for about 9 years before her family moved to Tempe where she lived most of her life. After graduating from Tempe High Katy became a bank teller for Valley National Bank and later an office administrator for Mission Tortilla Factory.

Katy will be remembered as a kind, smart, loyal, and funny woman. She also loved sports with basketball being one of her favorites to watch. She loved the color red and collected anything (and everything) rooster. She was also an avid reader, having been in a reading group for most of her retired life.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:30AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 S Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ 85282, with a reception to follow.
