Christopher 'Chris' Moore Schermann, aged 68, passed away peacefully at home in Scottsdale, AZ on August 2, 2025. He departed this life while lovingly surrounded by his wife Marcia, daughter Margaret, and friends Marcy and Melanie. He was born in 1956, in Flagstaff, AZ to parents Jacqueline Louise (Moore) Schermann and James Albert 'Al' Schermann. He was the youngest of five children including three older brothers, Tom, Jim, and Mike; and one older sister, Mary Lou.

Chris attended grade school in Flagstaff and in Tempe, AZ, then graduated from Apollo High School in Phoenix, AZ in 1974. He pursued an undergraduate degree in Design Science at ASU and graduated in 1978. He worked for Phoenix-based construction companies over the years including Chanen Construction Company and most recently Sundt Construction Company as Senior Virtual Construction Engineer.

Chris always loved the artistic and mechanical sides of life and had many hobbies, such as flying kites, rowing, reading, bike riding, and building drones. He had a deep appreciation for music and spent many happy evenings listening to music at the dinner table with his family. He loved the outdoors, scenic road trips, and walking his dog Howie at the park. All who knew Chris admired his dedication and love for his family and friends (including his various canine companions over the years), commitment to his work, support of his community through various charitable works, his sharp and witty sense of humor, and warm smile and twinkle in his eyes.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Mabel and Fred Moore Sr., Pearl and Albert Schermann, parents Jackie and Al, stepmother Carrie Sue, stepfather Anthony Romeo, and brothers Tom, Jim, and Mike. He is survived by his wife Marcia, his daughter Margaret, and their dog 'Howie'; uncle Fred Moore Jr., sister Mary Lou Evans, step-sisters Paula Gales, Melia Berry and Marcy Hess, and step-brother David Romeo. He is also survived by many cousins.
