Dennis Donald Pinnick

70, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025. He was born on April 3, 1955, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Donald and Elizabeth Pinnick. A proud Phoenix native, Dennis spent his entire life in the Valley.

Dennis was a graduate from Gerard Catholic High School in 1973, then attended trade school. He worked in security before discovering his true passion for painting. As the owner of Pinnick Painting Co., he worked tirelessly to provide for his family with hard work and dedication. His craftsmanship left a lasting mark on Phoenix, including major projects for Best Western International Hotels and the University of Phoenix. His son, who often worked alongside him during the summers, witnessed firsthand his father’s relentless work ethic, whether climbing ladders or painting asphalt in 110-degree desert heat. From these experiences, Dennis passed down not only discipline and perseverance but also an appreciation for honest work, artistry, and the grit it takes to be an entrepreneur.

In addition to his business, Dennis worked for many years in the Paint Department at Lowe’s, where he was known for his humor, often joking with customers that they might want to try Home Depot instead.

In 1977, Dennis married the love of his life, Sherrie. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter, raised their son James, and opened their hearts to their nephew as well. Dennis cherished life’s simple joys: crossword puzzles in the newspaper, attending local sporting events, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Those who knew Dennis will remember his determination, strong will, humor, humility, honesty, and integrity. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sherrie; his son James and wife Krystal; three grandchildren, Logan, Max, and Owen; his sister Donna; brothers Bill, Pat, and John; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, and other loved ones and friends.

Dennis touched more lives than he could have ever imagined. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now with Jesus Christ, reunited with his loved ones, and trust he will be among the first to welcome us when our time arrives.
