Dennis Dean Thompson

Dennis Dean Thompson, 60, passed away on August 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of beauty, generosity and deeply felt connection.

With deep love and gratitude, we remember a remarkable man whose life was defined by service, creativity and an extraordinary capacity to make others feel welcomed, valued and cared for.

Dennis was born on September 11, 1965, in Hobbs, New Mexico, graduated from Eunice High School in 1983, attended the University of New Mexico then continued his studies at Johnson and Wales University culinary school in Providence, Rhode Island.

For 25 years, he served as one of the principals of White House Design Studio and as an events coordinator, bringing his vision, dedication and creativity to every occasion. Through his work, he transformed gatherings into meaningful experiences and helped create memories that will be cherished for years to come. He was honored to work with the Board of Visitors, Hospice of the Valley and Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.

Dennis gave his time, talents and heart generously, often using flowers to bring comfort, joy, celebration and meaning to the people and moments around him.

He showed his care through action—remembering the little things, noticing what others needed and giving freely without seeking recognition. Anyone who met him felt seen, welcomed and valued.

His legacy lives on in the beauty he created, the kindness he inspired and the thoughtful acts that continue to make the world brighter. Though he is deeply missed, his love continues to bloom in all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Fay Thompson, brother, Danny Thompson and sister, Donna Walker. He is preceded by his father, James Clyde Thompson.
