George Riley, a longtime Arizona resident with a deep love for horses, the desert, and the Western lifestyle, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. He lived a quiet and independent life, always staying true to who he was.
He was born to Lewis Riley and Eva Meador Riley, who preceded him in death. He was one of nine children, having had four brothers and four sisters.
Though private by nature, George was deeply loved by those who truly knew him and will be remembered for his strong will, gentle heart, and enduring cowboy spirit.
His happiest moments were spent on horseback or out in the desert, and he lived life fully on his own terms. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
George will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., in Phoenix on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 12:30pm military honors will be rendered by the United States Navy.
