PHOENIX – Reina Gill, 75, was born in San Miguel, El Salvador to her parents Aurora Herrera and Baltazar Diaz Valle on November 19, 1947. Surrounded by family and friends she passed away on June 21, 2023. She left El Salvador and moved to California in 1975.

Reina moved to Arizona in 1992. In 1996 she met her husband Tirath Gill. She served the Arizona Biltmore Resort as a supervisor in the dry-cleaning department and as a banquet coordinator. Reina loved to travel around the world to visit with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Aurora Herrera; brother, Oscar Herrera; grandson, Odir I. Montenegro.

Reina is survived by her husband, Tirath S. Gill; brothers, Ramon Herrera, Olmer M. Herrera (Delmy); sons, José Montenegro (Veronica), Marco Montenegro; daughter, Sandra Padilla (Gavin); step-son, Gelim Omar G. Montenegro; step-daughter, Guadalupe Montenegro (Oscar); 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and best friends, Irma Berumen, Angelica Leticia Bernal. In addition, Reina was a beautiful person to many people but especially to these ladies; Wendy, Nancy, Leticia, and Rosario.

Mama Reina lived a full life, and she will be missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 4-7PM with rosary prayed at 6PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Phoenix.

PHOENIX – Reina Gill, de 75 años, nació en San Miguel, El Salvador de sus padres Aurora Herrera y Baltazar Díaz Valle el 19 de noviembre de 1947. Rodeada de familiares y amigos falleció el 21 de junio de 2023. Dejó El Salvador y se mudó a California en 1975.

Reina se mudó a Arizona en 1992. En 1996 conoció a su esposo Tirath Gill. Trabajó en Arizona Biltmore Resort como supervisora ​​en el departamento de tintorería y como coordinadora de banquetes. A Reina le encantaba viajar por el mundo para visitar a familiares y amigos.

Mama Reina vivió una vida plena y la extrañaremos pero nunca la olvidaremos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 28 de junio de 2023, de 4:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m. con rezo del rosario a las 6:00 p. m. en Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. La misa se celebrará el jueves 29 de junio de 2023 a las 10 a. m. en la iglesia católica St. Agnes, 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Católico St. Francis, Phoenix.
