Daniel Candia Hernandez

Daniel Candia Hernandez, son of Lucila and Manuel Hernandez, passed away from this earthly life on December 3, 2022 at the age of 58. Daniel is survived by his

brothers and sisters, Manuel (Elizabeth) Hernandez, Jr., Isabel (Ruben) Arvizu, Felicia (Cloid) Adams, and Rosa (Ronald) Miranda; and also, by 11 nieces & nephews and 10 great-nieces & nephews.

Daniel was a kind and patient soul who was unselfishly generous with his time and support. Daniel was an Arizona State University graduate, and he enjoyed his career as a certified Teacher/Educator for multiple subjects (Math, Science, History, and others) in several elementary and high schools in the Phoenix area.

Daniel lived a quiet life and cherished the simple things. He enjoyed playing Chess, card & board games, watching Star Trek and sci-fi movies, eating good food, and

spending time with family/friends at get-togethers or parties.

Daniel was loved by his family and friends, and he was also respected by coworkers, and students. Daniel will rest peacefully knowing that all who know him will

miss him very much. Daniel’s impact on those he leaves behind in this world will continue because he is an ‘Organ Donor’, and so even more people will benefit from his thoughtfulness and compassion.

On Friday, December 16, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00AM will be a visitation with Mass to be celebrated at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1421 S. 12th Street, Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Also, a “Remembrance of Life” luncheon announcement will be made after the burial service with the reception address for those who wish to attend.

Please keep our families and those who appreciated Daniel in your prayers during these trying times and celebrate Daniel’s life and legacy as he would have wished.

“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count – it is the life in your years …and what you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone but what you have woven into the lives of others who have been around you.”  Author Unknown
