James “Jim” Woodford, 69, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on November 12th, 2024 with his wife by his side. Born in Phoenix, he was the youngest of four sons born to Clair “Bud” Woodford and Grace “Lucille” Woodford. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and loyal friend.
Jim enjoyed nature and spending time in the great outdoors and passed that on to his family. The family spent many summers on fishing trips and trips to the beach, creating lasting memories. He loved creating art and was known to gift his pieces and art supplies to his loved ones, hoping they would enjoy it as he did. His family will always remember him playing his beloved acoustic guitar, often making original songs for his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed spending time with his family and they will always cherish the times they spent with him.
Jim was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Bob. He is survived by his cherished wife of 31 years, Monica Woodford, his brothers Michael and Bill Woodford, his children Maria Jacobson, James Woodford, Ashley Landa, and Anna Woodford, his grandchildren Faustina and her daughter Brynlee, Audie, Jobe, Jade, Owen, Ruby, Mason, Kayla, and Payton and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6th at 11am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Road, Phoenix.
