Janice T. Westfall was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 16, 1954 to Phillip and Faeth Genovese. She was the third of nine children. The importance and value of family started with Janice at an early age and was central to who she was throughout her life.
She married Terry Westfall in 1980 and had two sons, David and Matthew. Janice was known as “Mimi” to five beautiful grandchildren: Cohen, Willa, Dillon, Harper and Charlie.
Janice was very strong in her faith and attended St. Theresa Catholic school and graduated from Gerard Catholic High School in 1973. There were many additional highlights in her life including San Diego beach vacations and time at their cabin in Pinetop.
Her faith was clearly on display through her courageous embrace of the health challenges she faced later in life.
Janice's impact on her family and friends was significant. She will be remembered for her love and commitment to them which will carry on forever.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents Faeth Ann and Phillip Genovese, and sister Patti Fields. She is survived by her loving husband Terry, sons David, Matthew (Brittany), grandchildren Cohen, Willa, Dillon, Harper and Charlie, sisters Judy Pierce (Greg), Jeri Hinton, Jean Rees, Joanne Rossi, brothers Phillip Genovese (Laurie), Tony Genovese (Michele), Richard Genovese.
