John Mark Houle was born on January 12, 2008, in Phoenix to Matt and Jessica Houle. From the moment he entered this world, John carried a spark that lit up every room he walked into.
From a young age, John displayed a deep passion for people, athletics, and the outdoors. He was known for his genuine attentiveness to others, his unwavering determination in everything he pursued, and his adventurous spirit. In nature, he found peace. On the field or court, he brought energy and excitement. With friends, he laughed freely and made every moment feel cherished.
John had been accepted into Arizona State University’s Fulton’s Schools of Engineering and was excited to begin this next chapter. He dreamed of traveling the world while continuing to live the peaceful, outdoor-centered life he loved. His boundless passion, determination, and love touched everyone who knew him. Friends remember John as the one who led adventures that broke away from everyday routines.
John is survived by his loving parents, Matt and Jessica Houle; his siblings, Matthew, Luke, Elle, and Henry; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will carry his memory forever.
It’s not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years. John lived life fully, and he will live on in the stories we share and the love we hold.
"God's mission for John on earth is fulfilled."
