Joseph "Ritchie" Martori

Joseph Ritchie Martori, lovingly known as "Ritch," passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by his family.

Born November 4, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Arthur and Joanna Martori, Ritch was the youngest of five children. He was raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where he built a life rooted in family, friendship, and the things he loved most.

He obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Art from the University of Arizona.

Ritch was preceded in death by both parents, Arthur Martori Sr., and Joanna Martori, as well as his sister Jessie Martori.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tori Martori, his loving children, Dr. Joanna Martori, Ritchie and Alysia Martori, John Martori, and Matthew Martori and his cherished granddaughters, Ava and Margot Martori.

Ritch found joy in the simple things. He loved hiking the Arizona trails with his dog, had a lifelong passion for film and storytelling, and never passed up an opportunity to enjoy a good card game with friends. He will be remembered for his creativity, adventurous spirit, quick wit, and the kindness he shared with everyone he met.

A viewing was held on July 11th, 2026 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, as well as a final burial at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery 2033 North 48th Street Phoenix AZ 85008.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this year and details will be shared with family and friends at that time.
