Lawrence Tyrone Honesty was born on July 12, 1959, to James Lee Honesty (who proceeded him in death) and Selma Elizabeth Cook Honesty (who proceeded him in death), in Philadelphia PA. Lawrence attended and was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Holmesburg where he was baptized and would later marry Terrilynn. Lawrence met Terrilynn in December 1995 in Philadelphia and the two were married a few years later on May 30, 1998, and the two became one. Lawrence loved helping others and spent his career as a Behavioral Health Coach, beginning his career in Otley House and the Prison System in Philadelphia. Larry as we affectionately called him, loved his job and mostly seeing the positive effects that his work had on the lives of others. He considered his job to be so rewarding. After living most of his life in Philadelphia, Lawrence and his wife Terrilynn decided to leave Philadelphia in 2015 and move to Arizona where he continued his career with Southwest Behavioral Health System and Torro.
After working for several years Larry was able to retire in January 2024 and ultimately missed being at work. Larry’s personal life consisted of loving his wife, his family and sports. Larry loved his EAGLES and he bled Green. He was always up and about, very energetic, he washed clothes, did the dishes, dusted, mopped, kept the home manicured and immaculate. He loved his dog our black lab Midnight; you could not see one without the other. He took great care of his best friend. Larry kept himself just as polished. If you knew him, you knew he was the best dressed in any room he walked into. He stayed fresh, he even ironed his tee shirts. He was so loved by so many, and he loved so many. Unfortunately, after a short illness, Larry departed this life in his home peacefully with his wife Terrilynn by his side on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
