Marilyn Sophia Maroulakos, nee Geotakes, passed away on January 4, 2026 at 73 years of age in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was the cherished wife of Harry George Maroulakos, her high school sweetheart to whom she was married for 53 years. She is also survived by her children Nicole Goodwin (Dan), Dr. Marie Maroulakos, and Christopher Maroulakos (Dani Heinemeyer); her grandchildren James and Nathaniel Goodwin and Nicholas, Matthew and Alexa Reffler; and her sister Andria Kiel (Henry). She was predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Helen Geotakes, and her dear sister, Kristie Hall (Jack). She also leaves behind beloved sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from her time in New Jersey and Florida.

Raised in Irvington, New Jersey, Marilyn was a registered nurse until her retirement. A graduate of Clara Maass nursing school, she worked at Clara Maass hospital in its labor and delivery department for many years, working evenings so she could be home with her children in the mornings before school. Marilyn was the life of the party, enjoying life fully. Small in stature with a great sense of sparkly style, there was no filter, just fun. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, spoiling her pup Sophia, cruising, and hitting jackpots. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), www.autism center.org.
