Born on February 9, 1948, Michael lived a life fueled by his passion for engineering and construction, building a successful career as an Engineering Technician, General Contractor, and Business Owner of II Viaggio.
Michael’s educational journey led him to attend Marine Engineering Technology in Seattle, Washington, where he laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. He also served honorably in the Naval Reserve from 1967 to 1973, a testament to his commitment to service and discipline.
Known for his dedication to his family, Michael was a beloved husband to Linda Day for 53 years. He was a proud father to three daughters, Leah Day, Erin Oxley, and Jamie Lamberson, and cherished grandfather to twelve grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to his life. His personality shone through in everything he did, and he was affectionately remembered for his love of the ocean and hobbies that included remodeling houses and his ability to fix almost anything.
Michael's life will be celebrated with a Mass on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 2312 E Campbell Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85016. The Mass will begin at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:00 PM, as family and friends gather to honor his lasting legacy.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Norman Day, and mother, Helen Day. He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward, reflecting the values of dedication, hard work, and compassion he instilled in them.
