Michael Joseph Hain, 63, a proud fourth-generation Phoenician, was born on January 28, 1963, in Phoenix, Arizona, and passed away on February 22, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, David William Hain and Micaela Anne Hain (Conley) and his nephew, David William Hain III.
Michael graduated from Camelback High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University. He dedicated more than 30 years of his career as a Journeyman Plumber and later spent over a decade as a Taxi Driver, working hard and always with a story to tell.
Michael was a man of strong opinions, a sharp wit, and an unmistakable personality. He was also deeply loyal, proud of his family and present in the lives of those he loved. He often referred to himself as the “favorite uncle,” and with 22 nieces and nephews and 24 great-nieces and great-nephews, he wore that title with pride. He loved the game of golf, everything Phoenix, and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by his siblings: David Hain (Kathy Hain), Brigid Jensen (Tony Jensen), Allison Hansen, and Christopher Hain; along with his beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
