With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for the time we shared, we celebrate the life of Michael Nelson, who left us on August 22, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on August 16, 1982, Michael's boundless love and contagious gift of making others laugh left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Michael had a remarkable talent for cooking, particularly when it came to grilling up delicious barbecues that brought family together. His passion for food meant that each meal he crafted was not just food, but a joyful gathering filled with warmth and connection. His passion for music and dancing always lit up a room, reminding us all of the joy in life. He found immense pleasure in fishing, being outside, and sharing unforgettable moments with family that will be treasured forever. In his professional life, Michael was dedicated to logistics, where he showed his commitment to helping others.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother, Clover Nelson-Smith; his caring father, Mylton Carroll; his wonderful daughter, Aaliyah Nelson; his twin sister, Eboney Nelson; his older brother, Centuri; his brother, Kevin; his cherished niece, Nevaeh; and his supportive aunts, Anona Stroman and Tammie Carroll, along with his uncle, Webbie Nelson, and Jeff Carroll; other siblings; and cousins.
