Molly Lawson, 57, daughter of Dr. Michael and Doris Lawson, passed away at Hospice of the Valley’s Ryan House on August 4, 2024. Molly was born in 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah, moved back and forth across the country with her family from Vermont to Washington to California and finally to Arizona in 1974. Molly attended school in the Madison District and finished her education at North High School. She was employed at STARS in Scottsdale where she worked for Cox Communications and America West Airlines. Molly enjoyed singing and dancing in the cast of many productions of the Detour Theatre Company. Molly loved to shop and she was something of a fashionista, appearing in many fashion shows for the benefit of STARS. She lived with her friends Eunice and Arturo Maldonado in Phoenix and in Chino Valley and enjoyed being a part of their extended family. Molly was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2020. She is survived by her parents, sister Margaret Dunlop (Mike), brother Andrew Lawson and four nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am at Orangewood Presbyterian Church on August 29, 2024. She will be buried in the family plot in Richfield, Utah.
