Paul Michael Itule

Paul Michael Itule, 63, passed away on July 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, creativity, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who truly knew him. The youngest son of Willie and Dorothy Itule, Paul was a native of Arizona and lived his entire life in the state he loved. He graduated from Camelback High School and embraced the beauty and adventure Arizona offered. In the summers, he enjoyed tubing down the Salt River and playing baseball, and in the winters, he loved skiing at Snowbowl and golfing. The outdoors brought him peace, whether he was surrounded by the red rock landscapes of the Southwest or standing on the beaches of Southern California, listening to the ocean he loved. He also spent hours listening to classic rock music and was known to belt out an occasional tune at a local karaoke bar.

Born a twin, Paul and his sister Paula shared a deep and irreplaceable bond throughout his life. Their connection was one of genuine closeness, rooted in shared interests, long conversations, and the comfort of knowing they were always there for each other. Paul and Paula spoke frequently, laughed often, and found joy in simple things: thrift shopping together, hunting for grocery deals, or spending long mornings on the front patio reminiscing about the fun they had while growing up twins. Paula was not just a sister; she was his confidante, his companion, and the person who understood him best.

Paul also shared a meaningful relationship with his brother-in-law, Steve. They often spent time at the driving range, going out to eat, and helping each other with projects whenever needed. Paul treated Steve like a brother and Steve felt the same—grateful for the time, conversations, and companionship they shared.

From a young age, Paul showed remarkable artistic talent. He began with pencil drawings, then moved into painting—first with watercolors then eventually oils. His artwork reflected both his sensitivity and his deep appreciation for nature. He especially loved painting landscapes of the American Southwest and the beaches of Southern California, capturing the places that meant the most to him.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Dorothy Itule and sister, Beverly Kamps. He is survived by his sister Paula Itule (Steve Nastasi), his brother Willie Itule (Lynn), his nephews Billy Itule (Robyn), Andy Itule (Tara) and niece, Jessie Palmer (Taylor).

Paul will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his creativity, and the quiet but powerful impact he had on those closest to him. Most of all, he will be remembered by Paula and Steve, who loved him deeply and will forever hold him in their hearts.
