Mr. Perry Wayne Kepley, 67, of Phoenix Arizona, formerly Salisbury NC, passed to his eternal home on February 11, 2024, after a 2 year battle with leukemia. He was preceded in death by his parents Jo Doris Kepley and Wade Kepley of Salisbury, NC, and his special rescue canines Payson, and Sedona.
He was surrounded by his closest family and loved ones.
Perry is known for his infectious big smile and sense of humor. He would drop everything at the drop of a hat to help a neighbor or brighten up their day.
He grew up in Rockwell, NC and attended East Rowan High School.
After graduating from NC State University he studied nuclear mechanics and soon after relocated to Phoenix Arizona where he worked at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. After a 25 year employment in nuclear monitoring with the state of Arizona he retired and focused on his rental properties.
Perry remained active in his community and was instrumental in his neighborhood's status as a historic district in Phoenix Arizona.
Perry adored his nieces and nephews and would often travel to North Carolina to attend family functions, weddings, and sporting events.
He is survived by a brother, Michael Kepley (Sandy), of Mooresville NC; nephews John Michael Kepley (Stephanie) of Wendell NC, Joshua St. Clair of Statesville NC; nieces Jenny Watson (Jeremy) of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Combs (Tyler) of Statesville NC, Melissa Hughes (Robert) of Goldsboro, NC; and eight grand nieces and nephews, Sadie Jo, Nolan, Parker, Thad, Marylou, Belle, Sammi, and Zachary.
He will be forever missed by all those who were fortunate to know him.
