Ramona Estrada Austin

Ramona Estrada Austin, 95, died on Thursday, November 14th peacefully attended by her daughter Carmen Chavez at Sun City Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in Sun City, Arizona. A lifelong resident and Arizona native, Ramona was a devoted mother, and great-great Grandmother.

Born Ramona Estrada on October 30th,1929 in Phoenix. On February 25th,1948 she married her true love Henry Joseph Austin and they had 4 children together, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Together They opened Austin’s Tailor Shop in 1966 and operated it for 15 years, involving themselves in multiple community, church and political services.

Monday, December 2, 2024 a visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Road in Phoenix from 10 am -11 am, with funeral service at 11 am. Burial to follow at Saint Francis Cemetery. Subsequently a reception will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
