It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of Ray Balderas, 70 years young who left our family too soon in his life. His departure left so much of his life behind with so many things and projects left to do and enjoy. So many people, friends and family left to see and so many words left unsaid. Ray, you were loved yesterday, loved today and loved forever more.
Ray was born in Tempe, Arizona. Attended Crockett Elementary school and graduated from East High in 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1978 Ray married the love of his life, Eleanor Moraga. Together they raised a a loving son, Ralph.
Ray worked for Western Window for 35 years. After his retirement, he decided to turn his part time hobby of construction work into a full time hobby. Buying over 13 personal homes, restoring and rebuilding them to sell or rent. He had the innate ability to know when and what to buy, how to improve them and when to sell them. He perfected his construction skills over a period of time and became quite successful.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor, his son Ralph Carrasco, three grandsons, Michael, Isaiah and Joshua. He is also survived by two brothers, Manuel and Richard Balderas and one sister, Linda (Rudy) Lopez. He leaves behind 9 nephews and nieces.
Ray was a one of a kind rare person. He was beloved by all his family and friends. He was a fine example of a man who took great care of his family who always came first in his life. He was a strong, humble, loving man and
was artistic and talented. Ray took pride in his work. He always went above and beyond on any job he worked on. He was also funny, kind, reliable and well respected by his family, his work crew, his friends and co-workers.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered by all who knew him.
