Robert Bustos, 69, of Hesperia, California passed away on February 25th 2026 in Loma Linda, California. He was born on April 25th 1956 in Pomona, California to Jose F. Bustos and Catalina Yepez. Growing up in a large family that included (6) siblings, aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins was described as chaotic yet a deeply rewarding experience. This family dynamic offered companionship, life long bonds and created an environment of love. His childhood memories were the best that anyone could ever hope for, he was blessed, proud and truly grateful. After graduation at the age of 19 he enlisted in the United States Regular Army where he served honorably from 9/23/1975 to 8/28/1981. During his years he obtained the Rank SP4 where he served in Company C Engineer Battalion as a Carpenter and had many accomplishments. After completing his military journey he ventured into heavy machinery. Robert, worked over 30 plus years for Coast Machinery Movers specializing in fixing heavy machinery and rigging oversized equipment. He retired over 9 years ago and enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering with a variety of tools.
Robert met his wife (Sylvia ) in 2001 where they became a couple, fell in love and had a Hawaiian wedding in 2005. He was a devoted man, loving husband and they share life’s adventures together. They were blessed to share 20 plus years of marriage. He loves his son Daniel Bailey, his wife Marci and his three grandchildren that brought so much love, laugher and memories to his life. His family fulfilled him with happiness beyond words. He was a loving father and grandfather. Even though he had some health struggles and challenges in the past few years he remained hopeful. He lived each day with faith, strength and dignity within his health journey. He was a fighter and fought a long battle with end stage Kidney Disease.
Special thank you to his Peritoneal Dialysis team, doctors, nurses, social worker, dietitian, office staff, pharmacist and cousin Danny Sanchez who was always there. Robert, is preceded in death by his parents Jose Bustos and Catalina Yepaz, many beloved family members and fur companions.
He is survived by many who loved him - The Bustos Family , The Bailey Family, The Lopez Family , The Trujillo Family and The Meraz Family. His legacy lives on through the live’s he touched.
