Robert Earl Carpenter

Robert Earl Carpenter of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on 6-11-2026 of natural causes.

Bob was born on 10-3-1938 in Indiana to Nellie and Don Carpenter.

After Bob graduated from Central High School in Indiana, he received his college degree at Ball State University.

He served in the US Navy as LT. pilot for 8 years. During his service time he completed two tours in Vietnam.

He married the love of his life, Judith (nee: Barnes) in 1967 in San Diego, California. Bob and Judy went on to have one daughter Angela (Linderman) they lived in Irvine, California.

After his time in the service, he had a long career in Management in a transportation company. In his later years he enjoyed playing golf and listening to the radio on the patio.

Bob was predeceased by both of his parents and is survived by his wife, Judy and his daughter Angela (Linderman), son-in-law Anthony Linderman and two Grandchildren, Grace (Berke) and Matthew Linderman.

He was a kind man that deeply loved his family, and he had a smile that lit up a room.

A private service will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home in Phoenix, Arizona on June 15, 2026 with full military honors.
