Rudy Jauregui, a lifelong resident of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in the city where he was born on August 17, 1948.

Rudy was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, remembered for a life grounded in integrity and love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Jauregui, whose unwavering companionship was a cornerstone of his life. Rudy is also survived by his children: Natalie Valenzuela, Jerome Jauregui, Theresa Garcia, and Rudy D. Jauregui, each of whom carry forward his legacy through their own lives and families. His sister, Mary A. McMinn, remains to cherish the memory of her brother and the years they shared. Rudy adored his 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and was excited to meet the 3 on the way.

In addition to his immediate family, Rudy was preceded in death by his father, Rosendo Jauregui, and his mother, Gloria Armenta Jauregui. The values and lessons instilled by his parents shaped Rudy’s character, resilience, and deep sense of responsibility.

He found enjoyment in many things; fishing, working on cars, cooking, telling jokes, family gatherings to cheer on the San Francisco 49ers, watching boxing, and from time to time a little fun gambling.

Throughout his years, Rudy developed bonds and relationships that stood as a testament to his character. He was a pillar of support for his family and led by example, demonstrating compassion, perseverance, and humility in all aspects of his life. 

Friends, family, and all whose lives Rudy touched are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in his honor. The service will be held on August 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, located at 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. A graveside service will follow at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on the same day.

Rudy Jauregui’s life was marked by dedication to those he loved and the community he called home. He leaves behind a cherished legacy. He will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by all who knew him.
