Shirley Jean Dalton

Shirley Jean Dalton (Moore) passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ, at the age of 80. She was born on October 17, 1943, in Lansing, MI, to Oral and Lois Moore. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Dalton Sr. December 6, 1968, Shirley married Bernard Sr. and were married nearly 54 years. Shirley and Bernard had three children, Bernard Jr., Bobby, and Kim. 

Shirley stayed home to raise their children until re-entering the workforce. She worked for American Express for over twenty years where she created many lasting friendships.

Shirley and Bernard enjoyed going on cruises with family and friends. Shirley enjoyed shopping wherever they went. She was always the life of the party; she enjoyed singing and dancing to the oldies. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events and dance performances. 

Shirley is survived by her children: Bernie (Christine) Dalton Jr., Bob (Jen) Dalton, Kimberly (Mike) Gregorovic, along with 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Stephanie (Cody), Jacob, Andrew, Jennah, Logan, Samuel, Noah, Christopher, Mikey, Jackson, and Aliyah; 4 great-grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Emma and Liam. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Bernard Dalton Sr., parents Oral and Lois Moore, and bothers Richard, and Douglas Moore.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Shirley's life will be held on Friday, March 15th, from 1:00-4:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, located at 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. The family will be receiving friends and relatives during this time.
