Stacey Scales Kilb

Stacey Scales Kilb, 57, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on October 23, 1968 in Santa Rosa, CA. Stacey was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone.

Daughter of Southern Baptist Missionaries Louie and Jo Scales, Stacey grew up in Kenya, East Africa, before returning to the United States to attend college. While attending college in Abilene, Texas, Stacey met Air Force First Lieutenant Kevin Kilb in September of 1990 and they were married on June 2, 1992 in Phoenix, AZ.

Over the next 20 years, Stacey graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Belleville Area College with an Associate Degree in Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse. As Stacey & Kevin’s Air Force life progressed, she was a tireless supporting spouse and advocate for Airman and their families during their multiple command assignments, until their retirement from active service in 2011.

Following their retirement from active service in the Air Force, Stacey and Kevin moved to Phoenix, AZ to raise their 3 young daughters; Malindi Marie, Piper Mara, and Tana Christine. They are the absolute brightest lights in her life. She continued her life of service in Phoenix working as a Nurse at St. Joseph's Medical Center, 15 years of volunteer service with her girls at Saint Francis Xavier School, Xavier College Preparatory and the National Charity League.

Stacey lived a life of uncommon service to everyone she came in contact with. From her time in Kenya, the United States Air Force, and raising her family in Phoenix and working as a nurse, she impacted countless lives with a special kindness and grace for all.
