Teddy E. Garcia

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow, the family of Teddy E. Garcia, Jr. shares the heartbreaking news of his sudden passing. He left us unexpectedly on January 30th, 2024, leaving a void that can never be filled. Uncle Ted/Big Ted/Teddy/Godfather was many things to many people. Teddy touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, fantastic friend and a man of generosity to those he loved and respected. Uncle Ted exuded love and happiness. 

To be a friend of Ted’s was to be family. He was always ready to help no matter how big or small the favor. You were always greeted with a hearty laugh, a hug and a look of love. Ted loved a party and his Dallas Cowboys! He was a dedicated employee with true loyalty to his employer. His love of music is unmatched. His love of family and friends, however, is his true legacy. Ted faced his illness as he faced life. He fought hard. He was a Warrior and this is how we will remember him. 

All are welcome to join the family in a celebration of Ted’s extraordinary life on Monday evening, February 12, 2024, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home at 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix 85018 from 5-8 p.m. (5-6 p.m. viewing, 6-7 p.m. Scripture Service, 7-8 p.m. viewing). Flowers will be accepted at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. Monetary gifts may be directed to Ted’s sister, Norma Garcia. They will be deeply appreciated and used to offset funeral expenses.
