Veronica Ann Bourque

Veronica Ann Bourque, 64, of Phoenix, Arizona, left her earthly life to meet the Lord on June 6, 2026. She was born on November 22, 1961, in Phoenix to Vernon and Nell Thomas.

A faithful Catholic, Veronica lived out her faith in the simplest and truest way — by loving the people around her. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was the center of her world. Nothing made her happier than being in the stands, cheering on her children and grandchildren as they played sports, or gathering everyone around a meal she had cooked. She had a generous, open heart and helped anyone and everyone she could, never asking for anything in return.

Veronica shared five children with Anthony Bourque Sr., who remained a dear friend throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Nell Thomas, and her brothers, Gary Thomas and Tom Thomas.

Veronica is survived by her five children, Erika Garcia, Jessica Highland, Anthony Bourque, Ashley Hubbard, and Andrea Bourque; her twelve grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Savanna, Sebastian, Chevelle, Halen, Kristian, Landon, Abram, Ashlyn, Armani, and Austin; her brother, Michael Thomas; and her sisters, Cecilia Lukavicks and Mary Frances Kinion. She leaves behind a family shaped by her love and a great many people who were touched by her kindness.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., with the funeral service the following day, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., both at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home in Phoenix, Arizona.
